New Year, New Beginnings
This morning we woke up to rain. First, we heard just a pitter-patter on our palapa roof. Soon it turned into a downpour. Since we sleep outdoors, our senses were waking up as the rain fell and touched every living and non-living thing around us. Nothing is more cleansing than the rain in the parched desert. As soon as the droplet of water touches the ground, new life emerges. Everything is fresh and ready for new beginnings.
Today is December 30, 2020. The dates are symbolic, but as this year is coming to an end, most of us are ready for a fresh start. I am inhaling sweet air, which only the touch of water can release from the trees and the ground. So my friends, as we fly into the New Year, let’s welcome and embrace these new beginnings. Love to you all and see you next year.
